WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Booking an appointment ahead of time is recommended. The best way to book an appointment is online or via email. Please notify us ahead of time if you’re wanting to book for two people or more at the same time to avoid any disappointment. If you would like to talk to someone or buy a gift certificate, please visit us.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We require 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Any changes with less than 24-hour notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $20.00. We value your business and ask that you respect potential customers and our staff.
If you are going to be late to your appointment please give us a call as soon as you can. If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not called we reserve the right to give your appointment time to a walk-in customer.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
We have free underground parking located in the Hudson Mews for up to 2 hours. No validation required.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE INFORMATION YOU COLLECT?
Health information is collected in order to promote a safe and healthy environment for our guests, to ensure continuity of information from one visit to the next, and to assist in customizing treatments to individual needs, particularly if there are medical issues or allergies which could influence the products or services we can offer you. It is important that the health information you provide is complete and accurate. This information is confidential and we will never share it with anyone other than our internal staff.
It is your discretion how much contact information you choose to leave. Please note that we do send occasional special offers through mail and email.
CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT CERTIFICATE?
Of course! We also have special spa packages available. Please call or email us for more information.
DO YOU OFFER ESTHETIC TREATMENTS?
We are a health-oriented spa and do not provide any esthetic treatments such as manicures or facials. However, we are always happy to recommend other fantastic, local businesses that offer these services.
ARE YOUR PRACTITIONERS RMT’S?
While we are not an RMT clinic-based model, all of our practitioners have had extensive and diverse training prior to working with us, and have also been trained under our 9 Elements Training Program.
CAN I USE MY INSURANCE FOR YOUR TREATMENTS?
Due to the unique nature of our services and the fact that we are not a clinic, we do not offer insurable treatments at the moment. We have set a price range that we feel is comfortable for most people without insurance and have not factored in profit from potential insurance claims in our pricing.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept almost all forms of payment including cash, Interac/debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, UnionPay, and American Express. Tips in cash for our practitioners is preferred.
ARE YOU HIRING?
9 Elements Spa & Reflexology is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. If you are interested in working for us, please send a cover letter (detailing your experience and why you would like to work for us) and your resume addressed to Moe at 9ELEMENTSSPA@GMAIL.COM and we will get back to you if we feel you would be a good fit.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to give yourself the necessary time to complete our treatment questionnaire and to enjoy some tea at our tea bar. For future appointments, we suggest arriving 10 minutes early. To avoid disappointment, please be on time. If you are late, it may result in your appointment being shortened. Consistently arriving late without notice will result in loss of appointment privileges.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Your health and safety, as well as that of our staff, is very important to us. Please let us know upon arrival if you have any skin or health conditions that may affect your treatment. We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule service to anyone who, in our professional opinion, poses a risk to the health and well-being of our spa.
Please help us preserve a tranquil environment by lowering your voice and turning off your cell phone. Please also refrain from wearing strong scents as other guests may have fragrance sensitivities.
Feel free to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. We provide comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and slippers for you to change into, as well as storage for any of your belongings. However, if you would prefer not to change for a Thai massage or reflexology session, please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing (pants should be able to be comfortably rolled just above your knees). During essential oil massage treatments, your body will be professionally draped at all times so it’s up to you whether you disrobe completely or leave your undergarments on. We also have everything you need for post-treatment showers if necessary.
Tips for our therapists are always accepted and appreciated, at your discretion. The industry standard is generally 15% and cash is preferred.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
